Prints Charming

Reminiscent of historical collages, Prints Charming highlights how the growing interest in tattooing as an art form has grown to the point where patterning in interior textiles can provide inspiration for body art—and vice versa. Showing that inspiration can come from quite unexpected places, the color palette in Prints Charming refers to a sense of history and tradition, while at the same time introduces a playful co-mingling of traditional themes and modern-day usages. Fashionable riffs on tattoo motifs show up equally well in fashion and home product, sometimes in noticeable color and sometimes in minimalist renderings. We see Popcorn Yellow playfully paired with a pair of floral reds while Bright Cobalt and a ruddy Umber are calmed by a cool mossy Green Bay. The second portion of the palette invites the use of a black and white allover statement introducing a contemporary Jet Black and historically significant Antique White.
