PANTONE Color Manager activation fails on Mac

  

PANTONE Color Manager will not activate on my Mac. I enter the serial number and click 'Activate' and the wheel spins incessintly but the activation does not complete. OR I enter the serial number and click 'Activate' and the software reverts to the 'not activated' screen. How can I fix this?

Please take a look at the following folder hierarchy on your system:

Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/X-Rite/Activations

Under normal conditions, PANTONE Color Manager would create these folders, and the license file would reside within the Activations folder after a successful activation.

Please do the following:

  • Check to see if the folders exist on your system.
  • If yes, check to be sure the permissions on all folders are set to ‘read and write for everyone’ and try activation again.
  • If no, please create the folders as shown with the proper permissions and try your activation again.
